Solitary snowdrop

There are now all sorts of shoots and sprouts pushing their way through the soil to greet the air. Along with the old perennial faithful’s, I now hopefully have one or two new offerings that were planted in the late Autumn and hopefully will flower this year. I also do have a mystery. In one of my flower tubs there has suddenly appeared a solitary single snowdrop. It has never been planted and I am left wondering where it could have come from.

Happy you, we are sooo far behind with the spring, there is soo much snow to melt. Your snowdrop is almost surreal for me these days :).

at least it's a happy mystery :) I suspect one of the wild creatures that visit your yard left that there for you as a spring surprise

We too are starting to see little bits of color peeking out here and there, especially on our plum trees. I only fear that we'll get another cold snap and the plums will go "poof" for this year! It's too early to be this warm in the Ohio Valley!

What a fun place you have created here....my cat and I were looking up plant treasures to add to our garden and your bird sounds popped up...we both thought that a wild bird party was happening outside our window....made us look ;) then I figured out it was from the site...kitty never did, and continued to prowl the window...thanks for the laugh and sweet sound... joan
