There are so many varieties of geraniums and all of them offer bright flashes of red, white, orange, pinks, violets and purples. So many to choose from – both annual and perennial and without them a border is poorer.
This geranium despite being between violet and purple is known as a blue geranium. It is a hardy perennial and will grow just about anywhere. It is also a favourite of the bumble bee.

Those are much different than the geraniums I'm used to seeing. I like this variety better.
I love the purple geraniums they are so pretty!
Those are gorgeous geraniums. I have never seen any that were that big. I bet they wouldn't grow like that here in the South where it is so hot. Have a great week end.
My wife wants to get the Blue one. She is waiting for them to go on sale.
Love the pictures--thanks for sharing!
So pretty! I wonder if they could withstand the Texas heat? I think I'll look for them at the nursery.
Oh Russ - don't buy one they are often to be found growing wild - or if not ask for a little bit of root from a neighbour. They are listed as a wild flower and are extremely hardy.
Lynne - you should find that if you have a little patch in your garden that is in partial shade (Texas being so hot and sunny!!) then they should do very well. Just remember to give them the first drawer of water each day from the tap and you should have a magnificent plant!
