Wheeee, wee, Wii ..... wheeee!

I am a child again! I have bought myself a Wii Sports ... and I'm hooked on it. Am I really that bad at tennis? How on earth do you swing the bat for baseball - it's like trying to swat a mosquito with a chopstick? At least I have been able to get a few strikes in bowling and I have yet to try out my golf ... I have made a mini Mii. In fact, I have made a few just for the fun of it ... all different sizes and shapes and hairstyles - and I am spending an awful lot of time laughing. :) :) :O Ho ho ho!

Oops forgot the boxing!!!!

yeah this is really cool but I can't grab opportunity to play cause I got 2 kids 7 and 5 wants to play plus their dad so I didn't bother them at all and we only have 2 console. But I'm planning to have Wii fit, still out of stock. Enjoy!

Are those things getting any cheaper? I've been wanting one for a while now, but don't want to shell out $400+ for a video game. They look really neat though...

I originally thought that both table tennis and cricket would be part of the package. My son, however, told me that the Wii was made initially for the American market hence it has baseball instead of cricket. Cricket, being played in great swathes of the globe, I believe even in parts of the States ... I think should have been included. Only about three or four countries play baseball ...

Mikey777 you asked about the cost - I can only tell you the price in Britain and that is £179.98 from Amazon.co.uk.

Glad you are happy. I still prefer to play some online games as relief.

Do you have the Wii fit? I heard it's a very fun way to exercise. I really need to find a fun way to get me away from this computer!

Enjoy that thing! My wife and I play the Wii obsessively. Tennis is our favorite "team" game thus far...

mikey777,

If you can find one in the store, they are only $249.99; it's the people bidding on eBay that are driving the price up. Be patient and become friends with the people at your local Walmart, Best Buy, Circuit City or other store which carries the system and eventually they'll give you the secret scoop on when they'll be in next.

I keep thinking of buying one, but I hate to think of investing in another game system, i can be so cheap.
