We have escaped the snow which has surrounded most of the counties around where we live. When I ventured out into the garden near the pond I spotted one of the smaller varieties of daffodils gently swaying in the light breeze.

One of the things that I was especially pleased to see today was a clump of frogspawn in my pond. We have had a lovely family of frogs in the pond for a few years now. Many of them are very friendly and will allow you to stroke their heads ... so hopefully we should have one or two baby ones before too long.

What beautiful photos! The daffodils must be so uplifting after a winter of snow. Living in California, I do love flowers, but I'm sure the appreciation is different when you have a real winter to contend with!
We have been very lucky over this winter, Margaret. In the area where I live in central England we have escaped most of the snow ... I say that with some guard as often late snows do occur - but ever the optimist hopeully not this year!
Ah, to see those signs of life in spring. I love the sight and sound of frogs--at every stage--too.
croak croak, I think it's coming soon :) Nice lonely daffodils. It reminds me of Vincent

Great idea to have animated images on your blog - what fun!
I love daffodils too...such cheery blossoms, and signifying the end of winter as they do, always more than welcome...
We have a frog who lives on our balcony here in Kenya (actually he's a toad) - last night we saw him inside under our living room chairs - I think the stifling heat has driven him in there...
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such a nice comment...
Take care,
Tanya
