It’s as black as pitch outside and a few moments ago there was a noise emanating from somewhere in the front garden near to the garden gate. It was a snorting, rasping repetitive noise – loud and somewhat unnerving. I switched the porch light on and peeped out … but I couldn’t see anything just blackness. The noise continued appearing to get even louder – so I decided to investigate. I collected a torch and shone it up and down and this is what I eventually spotted – the culprit of the noise …
a beautiful adult hedgehog.

It's amazing the noise that these cute little animals make and they are quite mischievous as well, I remember been on holiday once and putting down a key to the caravan and a little hedgehog came along and started dragging it away!
That is so cool.
The Wife and I were in Maine one summer and heard all these loud noises, crunching and snapping, and we thought we were about to see something large and possibly dangerous.
What we saw was a small porcupine, and a lovely little critter it was.
they can be qiute develish.
I had a hedgehog living in my backyard shed...it used to come hang out under the bedroom window at night. I thought he was a burglar at first!

They LOOK so cute, but I wonder if I'd like them in my back yard? I don't think they are around our area--plenty of other critters, tho!
